My Story
It all started in 2009 when a good friend told me repeatedly that I was funny and should do something creative with the skill. After some moments of disbelief, imposter syndrome, and eschewing the idea, I decided to just try it out. As it turns out, she was right and I loved being on stage and telling jokes.
I started doing comedy in my early twenties and kept performing here and there through that chapter of my life. I learned a lot of new and interesting things; made a lot of friends, made at least 2 enemies, experienced both good and bad times, got a therapist, a masters degree, two cats… you get the idea. I lived, I survived, I thrived. I found out that my penchant for television was more than just that, it is a passion of mine. And now I want to share it with others, so that you too can enjoy some of my stories and learns, and make tv friends of your own.
Most recently I have felt a drive to share my story: how I got here, what I’m passionate about, how long it took me to be able to share my passions, and things I’ve learned along the way. This is a tribute to that endeavor, and I hope you enjoy.
In addition to this blog, I am also a screenwriter!
I’m currently studying at Second City Film School so that I can make my own tv shows and quit my dumb day job.
